FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1997
The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis with Committee
members Salentine, and Sanders present. Also present were Alderman Slocomb,
Finance Director Gunderson, Plan Director Sadowski, and Deputy Clerk Blenski.
Committee member D’Acquisto was not present.
The Mayor noted the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law.
New Business
The committee reviewed the 1997 engagement letter from Conley McDonald with
Finance Director Dawn Gunderson. She noted that the fees to be charged for audit
services for the year ending December 31, 1997 will not increase due to the fact that
the City has a Finance Director. It is anticipated that they will be reduced in future
years. Ms. Gunderson noted that the City is only billed for hours the firm works. She
does not expect the cost of the 1997 audit to decrease because of the resignation of an
employee in her department who played a key role in assisting the auditors. Alderman
Salentine moved to recommend approval. Alderman Sanders seconded, carried.
Mayor De Angelis explained why it was necessary to hire independent counsel to
represent the City regarding the reopening of citations issued to Mr. Lloyd McIndoe.
Alderman Sanders moved to recommend the appointment of Attorney Joseph Kershek
as special counsel at an hourly rate of $100. Alderman Salentine seconded, carried.

Alderman Salentine moved to approve release of $2,000 for AG Industries/Mick with
$1,000 being retained pursuant to recommendation of the Plan Department. Alderman
Sanders seconded, carried.
