FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JULY 8, 1997
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM by Chairman De Angelis. Also present
were Committee members D’Acquisto, Sanders and Salentine, as well as Alderman
Slocomb, Finance Director Gunderson, and Deputy Clerk Blenski.
Mayor De Angelis noted the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting
law.
Review of License Applications
Mayor De Angelis reported to the Committee that he interviewed Karen Long, an
applicant for an Operator’s License. Applicant has a favorable police record.
Alderman D’Acquisto moved to recommend approval of license. Alderman Sanders
seconded, carried.
The minutes of the previous meeting dated July 2, 1997 were reviewed and accepted.
Unfinished Business
1. Further review of request for sick leave donation
This item was deferred from the July 2, 1997 meeting. Mayor De Angelis noted he
conferred with legal counsel regarding this issue and stated you can exceed what is
allowed by law. It was suggested that the City may want to place some limits on the
donations. Alderman D’Acquisto stated he supports this request but believes a policy
should be created and implemented. Alderman D’Acquisto moved for approval.
Alderman Salentine seconded, carried.
Voucher Approval
Alderman Salentine moved for approval of General Vouchers in the amount of
$360,733.23 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $111,502.37. Alderman D’Acquisto
seconded, carried.
Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn at 7:20 PM. Alderman D’Acquisto seconded,
carried.
