The meeting was called to order at ?:40 P.M. by 1

Chairman De Angelis. Also present were committee members Sanders and Suhr,
and those per the attached list.
The committee noted that the meeting was posted on November 1,
1996, in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
The committee interviewed the following applicants applying for
Operator's License:
Jennifer Zak
Kami Kluss
Nicolan Reyes
Todd Duellman
Ronald Kusters
Ald. Suhr moved to recommend approval subject to receipt of
fees, favorable police report and verification of schooling.
Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried 2-O.
The committee interviewed Theresa Moore for an Operator's
License. After review of police report, Ald. Sanders moved to
recommend approval of license subject to receipt of fees,
verification of schooling and a 3-6-9 month review. Seconded by
Ald. Suhr, motion carried 2-O.
Mr. Dan Giesegh, Parkside Inn, appeared before the committee to
discuss recent license violation with after hour drinking. The
Committee reprimanded for violation and advised that any future violations may result in possible action by the City.
A discussion was held on establishing elected officials'
salaries for the 1997-99 term for Aldermen Districts 2, 4, 6 & 7. Ald. Suhr moved to recommend that the salaries be established at
$5,056.00 to stay consistent with present salary for District 1,
3 & 5. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried 2-O.
A memorandum from Gordon Jacobson, Recreation Director, was reviewed which requested the following 1996 budget amendments:
Increase Revenue Ticket Sales

Ald. Sanders moved to recommend the above amendments. Seconded
by Ald. Suhr, motion carried 2-O.
A memorandum from Supt. John Loughney was reviewed which advised
that the City was recently awarded a L.R.I.P. (Local Road
Imnrovement Proiect) funds from the State thru Waukesha County
Department of Transportat ,ion for road improvements to Park ,land

Ald. Sanders moved to recommend approval of premiums. Seconded
by Ald. Suhr, motion carried 2-O.
A memorandum from Clerk-Treasurer Jean Marenda, dated November
1, 1996, was reviewed on the possibility of using a local bank to provide off-site tax collection service for citizens. Jean
advised that she will be putting together criteria and will be working with Citizens Bank of Mukwonago (located in Pick 'n Save). Ald. Suhr moved to advise Clerk-Treasurer to proceed with negotiations and implementation. Seconded by Ald. Sanders,
motion carried 2-O.
A memorandum from Parks Director Peter Theis, dated November 1,
1996, was reviewed requesting $3,477 to repair a 1987 GMC l-ton
dump truck which recently broke down. Both the engine (454) and
automatic transmission need to be replaced. The only account in
the Parks 1996 operating budget where existing funds appear to be available is #OlOO-7300-2400-Contracted Services, and not
more than $1,000. Ald. Suhr moved to approve expenditure not to
exceed $3,477. with $l,OOO.OO to be taken from Account
#OlOO-7300-1400, and the balance from Contingency. This approval is subject to receipt of at least two more estimates. Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried 2-O.
The committee further reviewed request for release of funds for Deer Creek Subdivision and action taken at the October 2, 1996 Finance Committee meeting. With new figures received from the is the Plan Office recommendation that a City Engineers, it
revised release of
$136,668.05 in the approve release of

$135,160.35 be approved, leaving a balance of
Letter of Credit. Ald. Sanders moved to
$135,160.35. Seconded by Ald. Suhr, motion
approve the following requests for release of Ald. Suhr moved to
funds: Champion Village (Engineering) $1,449.80
Lakeview Highlands (Engineering) $ 132.85
Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried 2-O.
Ald. Sanders moved to adjourn at 9:05 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
