The Committee reviewed memorandums from Public Works
Superintendent John Loughney and Utility Superintendent Scott Kloskowski advising that the lunchroom roof at the City Garage had a leaking problem which was intended to be fixed with
$4,000.000 of 1993 capital outlay funds. Prior to hiring a contractor to replace the roof, the Public Works Department sprayed the exterior walls of the building, above the roof, with a waterproof sealant. The problem seems to have been
corrected at this time, but to insure that it has been
corrected, the two department heads are requesting that the
$4,000.00 of unexpended capital outlay funds be carried over to
1994 so that the roof can be replaced if, in Spring, the roof again starts leaking. Ald. Patterson moved to approve the
carry-over of $4,000.00 of capital outlay funds into 1994. Seconded by Aid. Dumke, motion carried.

The Committee reviewed request from the Parks and Recreation
Board to accept the land donation from the Bass Bay Sportsman
Club for the purpose of developing a public access site on Big
Muskego Lake. Ald. Patterson moved to recommend acceptance of
land and to pay the costs involved with the transfer and any
taxes incurred after January 1, 1994. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried. The Committee authorized Mayor De Angelis to
direct the City Engineers to start the field work necessary for
providing the City with a certified survey map prior to the adoption of the minutes.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from the City Clerk
regarding back-billing for sewer usage charges. Two properties
have been advised that the Utility has discovered that they
were not being charged the correct sewer usage for their multi-family units. Both property owners have requested they
be given additional time to pay. Ald. Patterson moved to
recommend a ten (10) month payment plan starting January 1,
1994 thru October 1, 1994; with a 10% penalty added on any

The Committee discussed policy for Budget Amendments and
determined that the present policy will be followed whereby all
transfers must be approved by the Finance Committee.
The Committee reviewed request for Extension of Time received
from Soil Remediation Service, Inc. through January 31, 1994.
The reasons for the extension are:
The original estimate of soils from the Lions Park
Drive site were approximately 9,000 tons. They have
already treated over 23,000 tons and have approximately 1,500 tons of that excavation to complete.
