0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 7:OO P.M. by Chairman De
Angelis. Also present were Committee Members Sanders and Dumke. Ald. Patterson was absent.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve the following applications for
Operator's Licenses subject to receipt of fees and favorable
police reports:
Erin Rausch Linda Mewhorter Chrysa Delikat Sherri Norquist
Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee discussed the status of application for "Class B"
Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Art Dyer. Ald. Sanders moved to approve license for Art Dyer for the proeprty at Janesville Road & Crowbar Road contingent upon
approval of Building, Site & Operation plan by the Plan
Commission. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed request for license renewal of Gloria
Bohlmann (The Office). Ald. Sanders moved to hold license for
sixty (60) days as the present license holder has indicated
that a new applicant will be coming in to apply. Seconded by
Ald. Dumke, motion carried
The Committee briefly discussed revenue adjustments and options
for limiting tax increase for the 1994 Budget which will be
discussed in detail at the Committee Of The Who1 meeting
scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 1993.
The Committee reviewed proposed resolution requesting financial
assistance from the D.N.R. regarding Idle Isle boat launch.
Under the DNR's Recreational Boating Facilities Program, a
maximum of 60% or $15,000 could be granted by the Wisconsin
Waterways Commission. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval.
Seconded by Ald. Sanders, motion carried.
Request for Transfer of Funds for the Recreation Department was removed from the agenda.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Chief Johnson which
included a sample letter that he would like to send to area
businesses regarding the elimination of the City 's worthless
check service. The "collection service" is costly in man hours
to the City and is a duplication of a superior service offered
by the Waukesha County District Attorney's office. The Committee deferred action until the October 26, 1993, Finance
Committee in order to further review with Chief Johnson.

0 Mayor De Angelis reviewed with the Committee an insurance quote
received from PrimeCare Plus for 1994 Health Insurance which
would save the City approximately $26,000+. The Committee
indicated that they were receptive to Mayor De Angelis
presenting the plan to all bargaining groups.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from City Engineers
regarding the request for release of funds for Plum Creek. It is the City Engineer's recommendation and the Director of
Planning's recommendation that no further reduction be made
other than the originally approved release of $6,675.45. Ald.
Dumke moved to deny release of funds. Seconded by Ald.
Sanders, motion carried.
