FCM19921104FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 4, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Patterson and
Sanders, Mr. Bob Patch and Mr. Steve Tietz.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Police Chief Johnson
on tavern violations at E. G. McGeary's and Silver Bullet. The
Committee requests that Chief advise if there have been other
violations and, if so, both license holders will be invited to
the November 18th Finance Committee meeting.
The Committee interviewed the following applicants for Operator's Licenses:
Kathy Rea
Kathleen Gerth
Christine C. Jones
Ald. Sanders moved to approve the application for Kathleen
Gerth and to deny temporary license for Christine Jones until
schooling has been completed. The operator's license for Kathy
Rea was deferred to November 10, 1992 Finance Committee meeting
for further review.
The Committee reviewed request for Class B Intoxicating Liquor
and Fermented Malt Beverage License for Rob Phelps for Bayside
Inn and deferred request to November 10, 1992 Finance Committee
meeting because the police report was not available for review.
The Committee reviewed request for Transfer of Funds for the
Public Works Department due to unprecedented shouldering in the Fountainwood area as follows:
$3,500 From: 5500.3426 Sand and Salt
To: 5200.3412 Sand, Stone & Gravel
Ald. Sanders moved to approve transfer. Seconded by Ald.

The Committee discussed establishing criteria for length of
time for Sewer Extension permits and sent back to the November
12, 1992 Public Utilities Committee to provide the language to be inserted in the Plum Creek Subdivider's Agreement.
The Committee reviewed Subdivider's Agreement and Letter of Credit for Plum Creek Subdivision with Bob Patch. The
Committee recommended approval with the following exceptions:

Staff requirements into the Subdivider' Agreement
and Deed Restrictions
The Committee discussed possible water service to the Parks Garage on Pioneer Drive as part of the Valley Drive/Lions
Park/Pioneer Drive water project. Correspondence from the Parks Director indicates that the present water system, which
originates from the Old Town is not providing the adequate
pressure for their operation. Also, with interior repairs about to commence, new porcelain fixtures will be subjected to
rust staining. The Committee requests that the Parks Director look at other options that would fix existing pump. The Committee noted that water would be available if there was a
need to connect at a future date.
