MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 7, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Dumke, H. Sanders
and Hilt, Chief Johnson and John Henderson (Mooney,LeSage).
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the following
applicants for Operator's licenses subject to receipt of payment
and favorable police reports:
Kathryn Bosch Jodie Nuber
Robert Laskowski
Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Mr. Richard Lucht, license holder of the Lakeview Tavern, appeared before the Committee to discuss an incident which
occurred with a bartender who was employed by Mr. Lucht. Chief
Johnson reviewed the police report and Mr. Lucht agreed to the
severity of the incident and has reviewed the incident with the bartender in question.
The Committee further discussed services study for law
enforcement provided by Waukesha County and will confer with County Representatives at the November 13, 1990 Council meeting.
AFSCME representative, Mr. David White, and labor counsel
Attorney Lisa Liemon, appeared before the Committee to discuss
smoking grievance. Several police dispatchers who smoke want to
establish the Women's Locker Room as an approved smoking area in
the Police Department building, rather than having to smoke
outside the building. Ald. Hilt moved to uphold the Police
Chief's position of maintaining a smoke free environment within the Police Department building. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders,
motion carried.
The Committee reviewed amendment to Offer to Purchase-Industrial
Park Addition for Hoorman. John Henderson (Mooney, LeSage)
explained that there was an error in the date of the original
offer which read that a closing date would occur prior to January
11, 1990, and it should have read January 11, 1991. The buyer's
social security numbers were also added to the amended Offer to
Purchase. Ald. H. Sanders moved to recommend approval of amended
Offer to Purchase. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
An Offer to Purchase for Industrial Park Addition (Lot 5, Block
3) for Ferrito (Safeway Pest Control, Inc.) was reviewed with
potential buyer. After discussion, the offer was withdrawn and a
new offer will be submitted which is recommended by the Finance Committee, for council approval, with the following terms:

$26,000.00 Purchase price and the stipulation that
the construction of the building commence within 18
months from date of closing.
The Committee reviewed renewal contract for Industrial Park
Brokers (Mooney,LeSage). Ald. Hilt moved to recommend a one year
renewal. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried.
Request to apply to State for EMT-I Certification was removed
from the agenda.
The Committee discussed Revolving Loan Fund-SEWRPC. Aid. Hilt
moved to refer material to the Financial Consultant for a
recommendation. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried,.
The Committee reviewed Emerald Park Negotiating Committee
expenses for Secretarial Fees in the amount of $120.02 and
miscellaneous expenses in the amount of $72.01. Ald. Hilt moved
to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee discussed Big Muskego Lake/Bass Bay Protection & Rehabilitation District cash flow. The Finance Committee recommended that Sl,OOO.OO be advanced to the District, at an
interest rate of 8%. to resolve their present cash flow problem.
Ald. Hilt moved to recommend release of funds for Woodcrest Heights-Addition if1 Subdivision in the amount of $78,610.59.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee approved maintenance agreement for Business Records
Corporation (software/hardware) in the amount of $6,797.00
