MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 2, 1990
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:00
P.M. Also present were Committee Members Hilt, H. Sanders and
Dumke and Financial Consultant Seegar Swanson.
The Committee reviewed the following application for Operator's
License:
Richard Annonson
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval subject to receipt
of favorable police report. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion
carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Gathering Permit for St. Leonard
Usher's Society for June 3, 1990 to be held in cafeteria of St.
Leonard School. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to recommend Council approval of the bid received
from Community Newspaper for required publications. Seconded by
Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried.
Review of Offer to Purchase for the Industrial Park Addn. and
review of AFSCME grievance were removed from the agenda.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve release of funds for Willow Pond Land Division Phase II in the amount of $131.20 for engineering fees
leaving a balance in the escrow account of $71,820.62. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Ald. H. Sanders moved to approve release of funds for Woodside
Estates in the amount of $969.75 for engineering fees leaving a balance in the escrow account of $49,030.25. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee began review of the 1990-91 Liquor Licenses.
Financial Consultant Seegar Swanson appeared before the Committee to discuss borrowing for the Utilities. The outstanding
commitments for new construction of sewer and water projects for
approximately 1.5 million dollars and the method of borrowing was discussed. After reviewing the various options available, Ald. Hilt moved to recommended the tax exempt borrowing plan.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
