0 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 4, 1989
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Hilt, Dumke and
H. Sanders, City Clerk Marenda, Chief John Johnson, G. P. Lee,
and Gene Kovacs. Ald. Patterson arrived at 9:45 P.M.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve a Gathering Permit (Class B Retailers
License) for St. Leonard Parish for October 13, 1989. Seconded
by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's
License:
Shannon Molkentin Bonnie Kornhoff
Ald. H. Sanders moved to recommend approval of the above applicants subject to receipt of favorable police reports.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Developer's Agreement and Letter of Credit
for Restful Lane Development (Tom Wernette). Ald. Hilt moved to
recommend approval subject to City Attorney's review.

The Committee discussed 1989-90 Salary for Sewer Inspector. Ald. H. Sanders moved to recommend to Council to increase the salary
for the Sewer Inspector to $10.50 for 1989 and 1990. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Public Utilities Committee request
regarding payment of Odor Control Project to be paid for with
proceeds from sale of City-Owned Land (McShane). Ald. H. Sanders
moved to recommend approval of the following amendment to the
1989 Budget:
Increase Expense Account 1100-9100-0903 by $10,000.
Capital Contribution to Sewer
Increase Revenue Account #loo-0045-0835 by $10,000.
Sale of Land-Other
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Meadow
Green West Subdivision in the amount of $2,247.90 for
engineering. Ald. Dumke moved to approve release which will
leave a balance in the account of $50,160.89. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried.

The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Vesbach Development in the amount of $1,358.74 for engineering. Ald.
Dumke moved to approve release which will leave a balance in the
account of $3,595.63. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Valley
Square Development (Gratzek) in the amount of $573.00 for
engineering. Ald. Dumke moved to approve release which will
leave a balance in the account of $38,241.75. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Parkland
Drive Extension in the amount of $74,381.50 for sewer and water extension. Ald. H. Sanders moved to approve release which will
leave a balance in the account of $60,618.50. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed the 1990 Operating Budget for the
Department of Planning & Development with G. P. Lee and Gene
Kovacs.
The Committee reviewed the 1990 Operating Budget for the Police
Department with Chief Johnson.
The Committee reviewed the 1990 Operating Budget for the City
Clerk/Administration with City Clerk Marenda.
