FCM19890621FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSEKGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21, 1989 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Dumke and H. Sanders, Treasurer Sanders, and Bob Klenz. The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's License: Mark Backhaus Patricia Quigley Jay Emmett Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the above applicants subject to receipt of favorable police reports. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried. Ald. Hilt moved to approve a Refuse License for City of Waukesha- Incinerator, 900 Sentry Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. H. Sanders moved to approve a Gathering Permit for St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, S66 W14325 Janesville Road, Muskego, WI 53150, to be held on August 6, 1989, at S66 W1432'5 Janesville Road. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. The Committee reviewed 1989 Liquor Licenses and recommended restrictions for the following: Lakeshore Inn, Inc. - (Lakeshore Inn) Outside picnic area with 11:00 P.M. restriction Hillside Corporation - (Hillside Inn) Outside bar with 11:00 P.M. restriction Jeffrey Bosanac (Jeff's Black Duck) - Picnic grounds, horseshoe pits and trap house with an 11:00 P.M. restriction Del L. Molkentin (Inn The Fast Lane) - Horseshoe area with an 11:00 P.M. restriction Ald. Dumke moved to recommend the 1989 licenses. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried. The Committee reviewed the Subdivider's Agreement and Letter of Credit for Parkland Drive-Extended. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval subject to City Attorney's and City Engineer's review. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried. Finance Committee - Page 2 June 21, 1989 Treasurer Sanders reviewed with the Committee comparisons of population, city budgets, tax roll and collection of taxes figures from 1964 through 1989, to demonstrate the increase in work load throughout the years. Mayor Salentine reviewed with the Committee his work load and meetings he is required to attend. Ald. Dumke moved to have Clerk's Office arrange for a public hearing on fulltime Mayor/Treasurer positions. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried. The Committee will have one more 30 minute discussion to determine recommended salary ranges and requests that the Clerk's Office supply the Committee with comparables. Mr. Charles Schweitzer, Wagon Wheel Stables, appeared to request a Class B Beer license to sell beer at his stables. Ald. Sanders moved to draft an ordinance to increase the Class B Beer to forty-three (43) licenses. This would increase the present number of forty-one by two which will provide one extra for future requests. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried. The Committee reviewed Collateral Assignment of Lease with Ingersoll Industries, Inc. Ald. Sanders moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
