MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 7, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 7~06 P.M. by .Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Hilt and
Penovich.
The Committee discussed application for Class A Beer License with
Mr. Leonard Close for Piggly Wiggly Supermarket, S63 W13700
Janesville Road. Ald. Hilt moved to approve. Seconded by Aid.
Dumke, motion carried.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's License:
Wendy Hummer Scott Stuckart Dennis Klatt Tammila Minor
Lisa Hahn
Aid. Hilt moved to recommend approval subject to receipt of
favorable police reports. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Application for Permit Races On Ice
for Badger State Vettes. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve Application for Refuse License for
Expert Disposal Service, Inc., 559 Progress Drive, Hartland, WI
53029. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Application for Alarm System Permit for Mark Laverenz, Karl A. Ruthenberg and Leonard Close (Piggly
Wiggly). Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee discussed Fireworks ordinance with Mr. Steve
Wunderlich.
Financial Consultant Seegar Swanson and Mr. Scott Krause, owner
of Muskego Lakes Country Club, appeared before the Committee to
discuss B Bonds. The Committee reviewed General Public
Improvements Draft of 12-6/88 - Petition for Improvements and Preliminary Agreement Regarding Special Assessments (sanitary
sewer, storm sewer, street lighting, water mains, etc.) and
Improvements Draft of 12/7/88, Petition for Improvements and
Preliminary Agreement Regarding Special Assessments (construction of wastewater Lift Station and forced main). Discussion was
deferred and will be further discussed at a future Finance meeting.
The Committee reviewed Amendment to Offer to Purchase-Industrial
Park Addn. for Lloyd Hamm for an extension for the closing date to March 31, 1989. Ald. Hilt moved to approve and noted that
this will be the last extension granted. Seconded by Aid. Dumke, motion carried.

The Committee approved Waiving of Fee for Fireworks Display for
the City Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Meadow
Green West Subdivision along with correspondence from Ruekert &
Mielke dated 12/2/88. Ald. Hilt moved to approve release of
$122,503.19. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Request for Release of Funds for Golden
Country Estates along with correspondence from Gene Kovacs dated
December 6, 1988. Ald. Dumke moved to approve release of
$66,842.32. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Amendment to Contract of Sale
(Kurer/Bushberger) for the city-owned McShane property. Ald.
Dumke moved to recommend approval subject to line 22 - 26 being
deleted. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Maintenance Agreement for Pitney Bowes
(mailing machine). Ald. Hilt moved to approve agreement in the
amount of $307.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee discussed Non-represented Labor Settlement and deferred to a future Finance meeting.
The Committee reviewed Cooperative Agreement with Waukesha County
Department of Aging (senior meals). Ald. Dumke moved to
recommend approval of agreement. Seconded by Aid. Hilt, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed Public Works Department settlement with
Mayor Salentine. Ald. Hilt moved to recommend approval of the
contract. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Wisconsin Health Organization (WHO) insurance plan and recommended that the City enter into a
contract for the year 1989.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $531,540.55. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve payment of Utility Vouchers in the
amount of $12,527.96. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
