MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 3, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Hilt and
Penovich.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's
License:

Ald. Hilt moved to approve subject to receipt of favorable police
reports. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed application for Class B Fermented Malt
Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Gateway Bar
(formerly Sports Bar). Ald. Hilt moved to approve. Seconded by
Ald. Penovich, motion carried.
l The Committee discussed delinquent Personal Property Tax for 1986
and 1987 with Parkland Photo Lab and reviewed correspondence from
Assessor DeAngelis, and Treasurer Sanders, along with a previous
legal opinion rendered by the City Attorney. Ald. Hilt moved to deny request for reimbursement. Seconded by Ald. Penovich,
motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to defer action on driveway extension on Silver
Drive for Mr. Tom Harr. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed amendment to Subdivider's Agreement,
extension of Letter of Credit and request for release of funds for Richard Zach. Correspondence from Ruekert & Mielke dated
July 13, 1988 was discussed and Ald. Hilt moved to approve
amended Subdivider's Agreement, amended Letter of Credit, and
release of $23,763. for road and,sewer improvements, along with recommendation to accept sewer and road improvements. Seconded
by Ald. Penovich, motion carried.
The Committee discussed city-owned land (McShane Treatment Plant)
with Lynn Kurer. Ald. Hilt moved to recommend to Public Utility Committee that we sell property to highest bidder. Seconded by
Ald. Penovich, motion carried. All Offers to Purchase will be
reviewed at the August 17, 1988 Finance Committee meeting.
m Request to amend Subdivider's Agreement for Adrian Schmidt was
removed from the agenda.

The Committee is in agreement with the Staff's suggestion to post
signs in appropriate areas which designate that sales tax is included in all necessary items.
The Committee discussed VehicLe Registration revenue and will
continue discussion at the August 17, 1988 Finance Committee
meeting.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $139,864.98. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve payment of Sewer Utility Vouchers in
the amount o $98,659.71, and Water Utility Vouchers in the amount
of $1,303.81. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
