FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 22, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 7:OO P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Penovich and
Hilt. Ald. Dumke was absent due to attending the Emerald Park
Negotiating Committee Meeting.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's
License:
Jamie Gregg Stacy Young Christina Nelson Randall Martins
Ald. Hilt moved to recommend approval of the above persons
subject to receipt of favorable police reports. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
The Committee continued review of 1988-1989 Liquor Licenses.
Ald. Penovich moved to approve Special Permit for Schaumberg Suburban House for July 14, August 10, September 8, and October

9, 1988 (with a rain date for week following each event). Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Gathering Permit for St. Paul's Lutheran Church for August 7, 1988. Seconded by Ald. Penovich,
motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Special Permit application for Bushy's Pub
for July 23rd and 24th. Ald. Hilt moved to approve permit with an 11:30 P.M. restriction on July 23rd and a lo:30 P.M.
restriction on July 24th. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Refuse License for BFI Waste Systems,
Best Disposal Systems, Economy Disposal, Inc., and Waste Management of Milwaukee. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee discusssed Alcohol Beverage Licensing/Non-Renewal
and/or Revocation Grounds and reviewed correspondence from City
Attorney dated June 13, 1988. Committee will review at later
date when more information is received.
The Committee discussed request for Release of Funds - Woodcrest
Heights Subdivision and reviewed correpondence from City

Engineers dated June 16, 1988, recommending release of $5,950 for
rough grading based on amount of work completed to date. Ald.
Hilt moved to approve. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.

The Committee reviewed bill received from Attorney Matthew H.
Quinn, Emerald Park Negotiating Committee Attorney, in the amount
of $1,573.50. Ald. Hilt moved to approve. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
Correspondence from the City Clerk regarding procedure for Sales
Tax on taxable revenues received by the City such as sale of
meters, maps, code books, copies, house numbers, Recreation
Department rentals, park rentals, etc., was reviewed by the Committee. The Committee requests that affected Department Heads
report to Finance Committee.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve General Vouchers in the amount of
$486,629.58. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion carried.
Ald. Penovich moved to approve Sewer Utility Vouchers in the
amount of $13,157.19 and Water Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$8,294.81. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
