MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 2, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Hilt and Dumke.
Ald. Penovich was absent.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's
License:

Ald. Hilt moved to recommend approval subject to receipt of
favorable police report. Seconded by Aid. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed amendment to Tess Corners
Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Service Contract. The proposal
is to increase rescue service fee from $85.00 within the County
and $100.00 outside the County to a flat fee of $120.00. Aid. Hilt moved to recommend approval of the above amendment.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The request for installation of a Federal Express Pick-Up station
was deferred to the March 8, 1988 Finance meeting.
l The Committee reviewed request from DeBack Farms to rent approximately ten (10) acres of land which is an outlot of Woodcrest Heights Subdivision and has been dedicated to the
City. Mr. DeBack is requesting to rent the ten acres to be used for farming for the 1988 crop session for $150. Ald. Hilt moved
to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Correspondence from Lindner Sr Marsack, S.C., dated February 18,
1988, regarding an amendment to the City's Pension Plan was
reviewed. The proposed amendments are as follows: Section
1.08: "Entry Date" shall mean January 1, of each year; Section 2:06: Only with respect to Employees who satisfy the eligibility
requirements of this Article II between January 1, 1987, and date of adoption of amendment, an extra Entry Date will be provided on
July 1, of each Plan Year. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the above amendment. Seconded by Aid. Hilt, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the negotiated settlement agreement
between the City and the AFSCME Unit (City Hall/Library). Ald.
Hilt moved to recommend Council approval. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve Application for Alarm Approval for
person who wishes name and address to be withheld. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.

Ald. Hilt moved to approve payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $159,536.76. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve payment of Sewer Utility Vouchers in
the amount of $5,818.35. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
Ald. Hilt moved to approve payment of Water Utility Vouchers in
the amount of $662.51. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
