FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 14, 1986
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:00
P.M. Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Hilt and
Penovich, Ald. Sanders, Ald. Taube, Aid. DeAngelis and Ald. Patterson.
Catherine Colla appeared before the Committee to apply for an Operator's License. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval
subject to receipt of favorable police report.
Hilt, motion carried.
Seconded by Ald.
The Committee discussed the status of the seeding requirement for
the Industrial Park with Mr. Wayne Erickson of Enders
Construction Co. Mr. Erickson indicated that he was seeking to
resolve the matter so that his performance bond could be released. Mayor Salentine reported that he spoke with
Superintendent Bertram who stated that there is some slight evidence of grass, and he feels that it would be better to
maintain what is there than completely redo the project and disrupt the present erosion control. If upon review in Spring,
it is not acceptable to the Public Works Department, a payment of one-third of the cost with a two-third credit to the City would
provide for future work. Mr. Erickson indicated this was not
acceptable and would live by the terms of the contract. He
requested that his bond be reduced to $20,000. The Committee
referred the request to the City Engineers for their
recommendation.
The Committee discussed agreement between City and Conley,
McDonald h Sprague & Co. for audit services - General Fund. Ald.
Dumke moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion
carried.
The Committee discussed agreement between City and Conley,
McDonald & Sprague & Co. for audit services - Sewer Utility. Ald. Hilt moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried.
The Committee discussed authorizing lease between Carl Wauer and
the City of Muskego for Police Department shooting range. Ald.
Dumke moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion
carried.
The Committee discussed request for Extension of Time - Payne &
Dolan Construction Co. (Industrial Park Addn. Street Project).
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval with a deadline date of
November 28, 1986. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.

The Committee reviewed request for waiving of Alarm Permit fee -
Value Village. The Committee requests information from Police
Department on status of permit. Ald. Dumke moved to defer.
Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried.
