MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 8, 1985
0 The meeting was called to order at 6:34 P.M. by Chairman Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk, Dumke
and Penovich, Ald. Hilt, Ald. DeAngelis, and Ald. Taube.
The following person appeared to apply for an Operator's License:
Koletta Koehler
Ald. Penovich moved to recommend Council approval of the above
person subject to receipt of favorable police report. Seconded
by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed City Hall/Library bids (Carpet/Tiling).
Ald. Dumke moved to refer to Council without recommendation.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Telecommunicators Contract. Ald. Dumke
moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the following bids for Library Shelving.
Paul Gessler $ 8,931.00
Jessup Associates Co. 14,110.25
School Equip. Consultants, Div. of
of Rod Imholte & Sons, Inc. 8,970.00
Ald. Penovich moved to recommend approval of Paul Gessler's bid
of $8,931.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed the following bids for the waste water
treatment facility lagoon sludge removal and disposal:

Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of A & J Cartage, Inc.
in the amount of $374,750. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the following bids for Tess Corners Fire
Station Parking Lot Paving:

Ald. Penovich moved to recommend approval of American Asphalt
Paving in the amount of $23,323. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed authorizing of Change Order-Project 118308,
City-Hall Expansion, for rerouting storm sewer and extend
sprinkler at west end of Building for $380.00. Ald. Dumke moved
to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the following bids for Tess Corners
Culvert Crossing:

S & Z Construction Co., Inc. $78,455.50
Edgerton Contractors, Inc. 58,391.55
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the bid of Edgerton
Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $48,701.55 for both culvert
crossing with mortared stone aprons and headwalls excluding all
Public Works to make a determination as to the feasibility of the
riprap, and authorizing the City Engineer and Superintendent of
riprapping as submitted in the alternate bid. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Bond Issues. Ald. Dumke moved to refer
to Council without recommendation. Seconded by Ald. Penovich,
motion carried.
The Committee reviewed Counter Offer-Kelsenberg (Tess Corners
Highway 24 Drainage Project). Ald. Penovich moved to recommend
approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
