MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 8, 1985
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:31
P.M. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk, Dumke and
Penovich, Ald. DeAngelis, Mr. Amann, Mark Grzesiak, and Mr. and
Mrs. Bill McSorley.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's
License:

Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the above
persons, subject to receipt of favorable police reports.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
Mr. Amann and Mark Grzesiak appeared to discuss Mark's
application for an Operator's License. Mr.Amann stated it was
his fault that Mark was tending bar without a license. Ald.
Tomczyk moved to approve license. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed request of Water Bugs Ski Club for usage
dates for Idle Isle Park. Mr. & Mrs. McSorley stated that all
necessary insurance forms have been submitted and they are
requesting tentative approval of water ski jump subject to DNR
approval. Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve requests. Seconded by
Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed request for .authorization to hire
Mr. Larry Lindowski, SEWRPC. Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend
personnel for Assessor's Office with Assessor Paul DeAngelis and
Council approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed plumbing quotes for the City Hall and
Police Department. The Committee decided to wait until another
quote is obtained.
The Committee reviewed bid for official newspaper. Ald. Dumke
moved to recommend approval of Community Newspapers. Seconded
by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed quote for split fieldstone from Village of
Hales Corners. The quote is for $40.00 a ton. Ald. Tomczyk
moved to accept the quote of $40.00 a ton. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried. Any further inquiries will be informed
that it will be offered at $40.00 a ton unless someone is
interested in submitting a quote for the remainder of the stones.

The Committee reviewed Capital Budget requests. Ald. Dumke moved
to send to Council without recommendation. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed insurance claim of Cynthia Gardipa. Ald.
Tomczyk moved to deny claim. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried. The Committee requests that the Clerk's Office submit
the bill to Super Excavators.
The Committee reviewed assessment policy for Bay Lane Road &
Kurtze Lane Road - Bass Bay Area. Ald. Dumke moved to defer to
next meeting in order to obtain more information. Seconded by
Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.

The Committee started review of Liquor License applications for
1985/86.
The Committee reviewed policy on location of street lights. The
Committee reviewed the present city policy which is to place
street lights only at entrances to subdivisions and at major
policy. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.

recommend giving Ehlers and Associates, Inc. authorization to
General Obligation Promissory Notes. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk,
solicit competitive proposals for not to exceed $2,500,000
motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:15 P.M. Seconded
by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
