FCM19850306FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 6, 1985 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:30 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Penovich & Tomczyk, Ald. Gaetzke, Ald. DeAngelis, Ald. Nilsson and Lt. John Johnson. The following person appeared to apply for an Operator’s License: Amy Bowen Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the above Penovich, motion carried. person, subject to favorable police report. Seconded by Ald. The Committee discussed previous sewer minutes recommending the new Sewer Treatment Operator be hired at the 6 month rate of $10.64. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend that the Sewer Treatment Operator be at the 6 month level retroactive to January 1, 1985. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Treatment Operator. Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve payment of The Committee discussed the benefit of coveralls for the Sewer coveralls. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. The Committee discussed the resignation of Officer Scott fill vacancy. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. The Committee reviewed the present policy for filling a vacancy x and recommend the following: ‘x Neubauer. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend Council approval to 1. Department Heads shall notify the Mayor in writing of the resignation of any employee. 2. A copy of said resignation shall be supplied to the Aldermen and Clerk by the Mayor. 3. The Aldermen shall have three (3) days in which to advise the Mayor if they wish to review the refilling of the posit ion. 4. If review is requested, the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee for review and recommendation to the Council. 5. If the Department Head has received no notification of request for review of the position within three (3) days Department Head may automatically refill the vacant of submittal of the resignation notice to the Mayor, the position. The Committee deferred discussion of delinquent personal property tax until after report received from auditors. The Committee discussed policy for approval of use of Council Chambers. Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve use of Council Chambers Days, Library Craft Fair and Muskego Day With Brewers. Seconded for taping of candidates for the April election, Greenup Muskego by Ald. Dumke, mot ion carried. The Committee discussed correspondence from the Police Department asking that the Finance Committee decide if a refund is due Mr. Finance Committee recommended that the between the City and Mr. Krause. The entire refunded since the dog was picked up on the owner's property, but the Finance Committee recognized the ordinance which requires a license on the dog and the dog was not licensed. rc rrnpmpa The meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M. term 0 10 Krause on a fine he paid for release of HAWS.
