FCM198409110 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 11, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:15 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Penovich, Tomczyk and Dumke, Ald. Gaetzke, Ald. Hilt, Ald. DeAngelis, Ald. Nilsson, Superintendent Bertram and Recreation Supervisor St. Mary. Recreation Supervisor St. Mary appeared to request additional funds for a filter fabric to place in boat launch area at Denoon Park. The request is not to exceed $1,500. She stated that without the filter fabric, the clay base would shift and the asphalt would not last very long. Ald. Penovich moved to approve $1,500. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. the request for a filter fabric for Denoon Park, not to exceed Mr. Mike Mooney, Mooney & Associates, appeared before the Committee to advise of an offer to purchase of Lot 3, Block 1 in The Offer to Purchase is in the amount of $20,000. The present the City's Industrial Park received from Mr. Thomas C. Campbell. asking price is $24,000. Mr. Mooney prepared a Counter Offer of $24,000 without negotiating. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend Council approval of Mr. Mooney's counter offer. Seconded by Ala. Tomczyk, motion carried. 0 Superintendent Bertram informed the Committee of a purchase the Public Works Department would like to make, that being a paver. He advised the Committee that the paver was worth the effort to negotiate, with Council's approval. Ald. Penovich moved to approval to purchase. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. recommend approval to negotiate and come back for Council whether or not he should negotiate for a chipper. Mayor Superintendent Bertram also asked the Committee's feelings on Salentine suggested that Superintendent Bertram explore the purchase and submit the cost to the Capital Budget Committee. AM. Dumke moved to approve payment of General Vouchers in the amount of $350,171.27. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to approve payment of Sewer Utility vouchers in the amount of $7,853.52. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 P.M. Respectfully submitted, 0 ca Ald.
