FCM19840222FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 22, 1984 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Chairman Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Dumke and Penovich. Ald. Gaetzke and Mr. Harry Udvare were also present. The following persons appeared to apply for operators licenses: Mark Hildebrand, Karen Welch, Theresa Frelka, Jeanne Stueck, and Nancy Marx. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval subject to Motion carried. receipt of favorable police report. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval for a "Gathering Permit" Womens Softball. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. for Mill Valley Complex on June 2nd and 3rd for Metropolitan The Committee again discussed offer to purchase city owned property on Hy 24 with Mr. Richardson. An offer of $20,000 was received from Mr. Richardson. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend acceptance of offer subject to getting road access. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. The Committee discussed parcels of land offered for sale to the offer. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. City by the County for back taxes. Ald. Dumke moved to reject The Committee will invite representative of Historical Society to The Committee discussed proposed lease with Historical Society. next Finance meeting. The Committee discussed MAA request for approval of donation for he distributed to Finance Committee. The MAA is willing to fund hiring of Park Employee. Mr. Harry Udvare reviewed letter which two employees during the summer for a total donation of by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. $2,924.36. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend approval. Seconded The Committee reviewed Health Insurance contracts. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the Samaritan HMO, Compcare, Dentacare Smile Plus and renewal of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield contracts. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. The Committee discussed 1984 salary settlement, Maintenance Man. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend 5% increase after 6 months employment. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Page 2 Finance Committee 2/22/84 The Committee reviewed Maintenance Agreement with A.B.Dick at cost of $477.00. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. Ald. Penovich moved to recommend approval of general vouchers in the amount of $804,009.74. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of payment of sewer utility vouchers in the amount of $32,665.98. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Penovich.
