FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 6, 1983
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Salentine.
Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Colburn and Penovich,
Ald. De Angelis, Gaetzke, Mr. Beilfuss and Vi Joy, Ald. Nilsson
and City Clerk Charlotte Stewart were also present,

Ald. Colburn moved to recommend Council approval of the above
police reports. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.

Center Permit for John Glockner. Seconded by Ald. Penovich.

The Cormnittee sent Two Transient Merchant Applications (Help Publishi
and James McGowan) to Council subject to more information being
made available,
Ald. Dun?ke moved to approve Gatherinp Permits to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church for August: 7, -1983 and Muskego Mini Slow Pitch
Softball League for July 23rd and July 24th, 1983. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried.
The Cormnittee discussed the sale of lots on Fairfield Drive. One
lot remains to be sold. The Committee decided to keep the "For
Sale Sip" on lot and discuss it at a future meeting.
The Committee discussed appraisals for, the Industrial Park expansion
The Committee recommended that closed session be set prior to
next Council meeting to set up negotiating terms,
A discussion regardine a request from the Police Department for a
credit card took place, Ald. Colburn noved to deny their request. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried,
The Cormnittee discussed an Offer to Purchase Parcel # 1 on Fairfield
Drive for $20,000.00 to Mr. and Mrs. Mark MacDonald. Ald. Colburn mc:
to accept offer and recornend approval to Council, Seconded by Ald.
Penovich. Motion carried,
The Committee-reviewed Grievance Settlement for the 27th pay
period. Alderman Colburn moved to recommend to the Common Council to accept the Grievance Settlement of approximntely
$9,000.00. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion carried.
The Committee discussed a request for funds for V.F.W. parade
in the amount of $1,200.00. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Penovich. Motion cnrriod.
The Committee discussed a roquast from Peter Thcis of Park and
Recrention pertnining to damage to eyeglnsses of a summer employee
Ed Gund. Ald. Colburn moved to deny the request. Seconded by
Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The Committee discussed Sewer Charges and Financing for Pr0je.ct.s
with Seegar Swanson.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
The Committee discussed the City's charge - Weed Harvesting for
1984. Ald. Penovich moved to set 15% weed harvesting charge to
the City. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion cnrried. Ald. Penovich
moved to rec'opnend the sale of weed harvester to the Lake District

by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion 0
