MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 21, 1982
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor
Salentine. Also present were Committee Members Klenz,
Dumke and Penovich, Lt. Zabel and Ald. Nilsson.and Tomczyk.
The committee chose Ald. Penovich to act as Secretary.
The following persons appeared to apply for operator's licenses:
Timothy & Sandra Glynn Carol W eil and
Dave Saari Robert Wilkowski
Curtis Hine Shirley Riley
Ald. Klenz moved to recomend approval of operator's licenses
for the above lieted persons. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
Ald. Klenz moved to recomend to the Common Council, approval
of the building inspection agreement with the Village of Big
Bend. Seconded by Ald. IXrmke. motion carried.
The cornittee acknowledged receipt of Class A and Class B
Liquor Licenses.
The committee unanimously agreed to not give plaques to out-
going aldermen because of the cost involved.
The committee discussed the cleaning service bid specifications.
Ald. Dumke moved to have the cleaning service rebid and delete
the second sentence of the third paragraph of Bid Specifications
"List any variances to these specifications giving reason for
non-compliance". Seconded by Ald. Klenz, motion carried.
The committee decided to write to J & J Cleaning Service to
inform them that as of May 1, 1982, they will be paid at the
1981 rate and that the City is in the process of re-bidding the
job.
Lt. Zabel discussed with the cornittee the purchase of two
unmarked squad cars. Ald. Penovich moved to authorize the
police, department to obtain quotes on two unmarked cars and
also to check into the possibility of purchasine: these two squad cars directly from a dealer s lot. Seconded by Ald.
Klenz, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to recornend approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $109,201.37. Seconded by Ald. Klenz, motion
carried.
The committee decided to place proposed fire inspection fees on the next meeting's agenda.
The minutes of the previous meeting of April 13, 1982 were
reviewed and placed on file.
A legal opinion from the City Attorney regarding whether the
City can loan money to a lake district was received and placed
on file.
Ald. Me moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Penovich,
motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
