The meetinc was called to order at 7 30 P hl. by AcLing Chairman Dumke
Also present were Aldermen Ihdtke and Salentlnc, I'olicc Chief Scholz,
Supt. Bertram and Mayor Gottfried arrived at 7 3G P.M.

police report. Secondcd by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.
The committee reviewed once again the request received from the
Parks and Recreation Board to authorize the expenditure 01 $7,400.00
in order that preliminary planning for Lake Meadows Park can begin.
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend to Common Cuuncll approval of the

request for the funclsfrom TIF Dist No. One. Seconded by Ald. Dude.
Police Chief Scholz appeared at the meeting io discuss various
requests for his department.
0 Ald. Dumke moved to authorize Sgt. John Daley to attend a class in
"First Line Supcrvision/Manugcment" at hlATC from 3/29/82 to 4/2/82.
The class is funded by the State. Seconded by Ald. Hadtke. Motion
carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to send two officers to VlCTI for SWAT training
for two days in hlay and to send the five man tmm to the advanced
SWAT retruining for live days in September, 1982, at a cost of
$230.00. Funds for these courses to be taken from Acct . #52000-1116. ,,
Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to approve the sending of Officer James Budish
to the Governor's Conference on Crime Prevention to be held in
Milwaukee on April 14 and 15, 1982. Seconded by Ald. Hadtke.
Uotion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to authorize Oskar Michels to attend a Water Patrol
Training Session on May 3rd and 4th in Pewaukcc aL a cost of $20.00.
Funds to come from Account #52000-1113. Seconded by Ald. Salentine.
Mot ion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to deny the request of Chief Scholz to attend
the Governor's Conference on Disaster Preparedness which will be
held on April 15th and 16th.since Supt. Bertram and Building Inspector Lee will be attending. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.
The Finance Committee reviewed requests from the Public Works
Department, the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department and the Parks
and Recreation Board to authorize the use of TIF funds for needed
equipment. The committee noted that the items requested are in
the previously approved TIF project plans. Ald. Ilumkc moved to rccom-
mend to the Common Council that the Supt. of Public Works be authorized
to purchase a steamer, that the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Dept.
be authorized to order a rescue vehicle and that the Parks and
Recreation Department be authorized to order a tractor mower with funds
coming from TIF Districts 7 and 1 respectively
The committce acknowledged receipt of a noiicc l'rom the Statc of
Wisconsin Treasurer indicating the city is in receipt of 80 percent
($276.057.05) of its tax credit payment and tlle balance in the amount
of $74,014.27 will be received on or before March 15th. Communication
placed on file.
ATd. Radtke moved to recommend to Common Council approval of an
agreement between thc City and SEWRPC for co1llpuLcr service. Seconded
by Aid. Salentine. Motion carried.
