FCM19820106FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 6, 1982 The meeting was called to order at 8.30 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Radtke and Salentine, Ald Klenz, Building Inspector Lee and Police Chief Scholz The following persons appeared to apply for an Operator's License David Kaminski Dennis Jones Keith Villwock Kathleen Collins Clarence Harmeyer Diana Crund Ann Gerrits Donald K. Sterrett Ald Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the above listed persons to hold an Operator's License, subject to receipt of a favorable police report. of the Police Cadet Program. He explained the value to the department Police Chief Scholz appeared at the meeting to request the continuatiol: of this position. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the continuation of the position of Police Cadet. Seconded by Ald Radtke. Mot ion carried. Ald. Salentine moved to grant the request of Building Inspector Lee to have the following 1961 vacation days to held over into 1962 Dan Nowak 1 day Wayne Jensen 1 day Gerald Lee 2 weeks Motion seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried. The minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held December 15, 19S1 were reviewed and the word "deputy" was removed from the paragraph relating to mileage for the Building Inspection Department. The committee reviewed the bids received for janitorial services for the citv hall-library and police building. Ald. Radtke mo\:ed to defer actjon on the bid. Seconded by Ald Dumke hlotion carried, Ald Salentine moved to recommend to the Common Council that inspection personnel in the Building Inspection Department bc of 20$ per mile and that each inspector shall maintain a daily reimbursed for actual miles driven on city business at the rate log of the miles driven on city business. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Mr. Harold DeBack appeared at the meeting to apprise the Finance Committee of the fact that his property is available for purchase by the city if they are interested in expanding the industria1 park.
