MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 17, 1981
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 8:30 P.M.

Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" Permit
for the Icetronaut Snowmobile Club for a drag race to be held in
October 11, 1981. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.

Aid. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the above listed
Persons to hold and Operators License, subject to receipt of favor- able police report.
The committee agreed to review the landscaping of the police department building next spring because nurseries recommend spring planting
The committee reviewed a communication from Chief Scholz requesting
a transfer of $5.100.00 from Unappropriated Surplus to Acct //52000-516, (Maintenance of Vehicles and Equipment). The communication indicated
that the request is necessary to cover additional maintenance cost
due to the high mileage on squad cars. It would also cover the in- stallation of radio and equipment in the new squads as well as radar
repairs. Ald Dmke moved to authorize the additional appropriation
by Ald. Salentine'. Motion carried. subject to review. of the budget by the Mayor and Chief Scholz. Saconde.
The committee reviewed a request from Chief Scholz to attend a seminar
on budgeting, productivity and cutback management on November 17 and lh
1981. Ald. Salentine moved to deny the request since it is the Mayor's
intent to attend this seminar. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried
The committee reviewed the Offer to Sell from Julius and Eva Steskal
re-purchase the lot for $31,064.00 which includes the selling price (Lot 3 Block 3) in the industrial park. Ald Radtke moved the city
of $27,200.00 plus 6% int. for two years and incidental expenses of the Steskals. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to approve the voucher payment in the amount of
$8,401.57 for the Little Muskego Lake District with the understanding
that an acceptable interest rate will be established at the next
Finance Committee meeting. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
A1d. Radtke moved to transfer funds from Acct. drSa500.3613, Confer-
ences and Special Events, to Acct. #5&500-3614, Dues and Memberships. $144.00) because the State has doubled the fees for certification.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend Council approval of the purchase
of a new voting machine in the amount of $3,183.00 in order to comply
With state requirements, Seconded by Ald. Radcke. Motion ostYisd.
