MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 17, 1981

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 8:OO P.M.

The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's License:

Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the above listed persons to
hold an Operator's License Seconded by Ald Radtke. Motion carried
License for Gary'sProdce Wnchat the intersection of Highways 36 and 45.
Mr. Gary Godsell appeared to request a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage
Several citizens whose names'appear on the attached list appeared before
the committee to discuss their request for additional deferment on their
has recommended to the Finance Committee that the deferments be renewed
sewer assessments. The Finance Committee noted that the Sewer Committee
for a period of ::en years. The minutes of the Sewer Committee relating
to this matter were reviewed by the committee
It is the intent of the Finance Committee to recommend to the Common
Council that the present deferred assessments be again deferred for an
additional ten years based on the deferment plan presently in force
between 9% and 9 3% It would also be the intent of the committee to
in the city with the exception that there will be an interest rate of
recommend that the interest due as a result of the first ten year
deferment will be added to the amount to be deferred.
The committee reviewed the request of Supt. Bertram to replace a saw
with a carborundum blade for approximately $600.00 Ald. Radtke moved
to grant the request Seconded by Ald Dumke. Motion carried
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of payment of vouchers in the
amount of $164,088 22 Seconded by Ald Salentine. Motion carried

The committee again discussed the matter of deferred assessments and
of 9 percent. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The committee discussed the Alvin Schaefer deferment which was extended
will research past resolutions involving the matter and report back to
for a period of two years at six per cent per year. Mayor Gottfried
the Finance Committee.
Chief Scholz discussed with the committee the matter of additional
landscaping for the police station. He indicated that the $5,000.00
originally set aside for this purpose has not been spent. The Finance
Department to determine what help, if any, they can give in this matter.
Mr. Mike Fitzgerald appeared to discuss with the committee his request
for a ski jump and the problems his club is having because of a state
law which prohibits skiers from taking off from piers. Lt. Dzibinski
advised the committee that the city is permitted, under law, to waive
this requirement during ski shows. Ald. Radtke moved to recommend to
the Common Council that a 30-day ski jump permit be granted to the 7. Water BugsSci Club, Inc. and further, that members of the club will be
permitted to take off from the shore or pier during shows Seconded
by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried Mr Fitzgerald promised the committee
that he would provide them with the dates the shows will be held during
the 30-day permit period. He will also provide the committee with a
copy of their insurance

The minutes of the meeting held on June 3, 1981 were approved and
placed on file.
Ald. Radtke moved to authorize the Library to refund, when requested,
non-resident card fees paid by individuals for use of the Library.
Seconded by Ald. Salentine Motion carried
Ald. Dumke moved to deny the request for a Class "A" Fermented Malt
Beverage License for Gary Godsell. Seconded by Ald. Salentine.
Motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn Seconded by Ald Salentine. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9 35 P,M
