FCM19810506FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 6, 1981 Also present were Committee Members Radtke and Salentine, Aldermen Klenz The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7 35 P M. and Knudsen and Chief Scholz Ald. Dumke arrived at 7:50 P M. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's License: Fortune Renucci Ronald Seliger Jeffrey Hughes John Peppey Ald Radtke moved to recommend Council approval of the above listed persons to hold an Operator's License subject to receipt of favorable police reports. Seconded by Ald. hke. Motion carried. Chief Scholz Appeared before the committee to request continuation of the cadet position within the police department. He indicated that it has always been designated as a temporary position and that the position will become vacant when the present cadet is promoted to telecommunicator. Chief Scholz advised the committee that the cadet therefore reduces the amount of overtime which normally would be 0 required. The committee noted the position has been budgeted for. Ald. position. Sahntine moved to recommend to the Common Council continuation of the The committee acknowledged receipt of Class "A" and Class "B" license applications within the city. The applications will be acted upon at the May 20th meeting of the committee. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $204,527.87, The committee reviewed the proposal for health insurance from WPS effective June 1, 1981. The committee noted the 1980 rate in the amount of $79,286.88 would be increased effective 6/1/81 to $103,074.24 per year and that the family rate would be $148.28 per,monthsnd single rate would be $52.00 per month. Mayor Gottfried will obtain quotes from other companies for comparable coverage. Radtke moved to recommend approval of an agreement between the Wis. Dept. of Agriculture and the city for the sealer of weights and measures in the amount of $1250.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Mr. William Mortimore, Administrator of Tudor Oaks South, appeared at the meeting to discuss the possibility of establishing a different formula alternatives were suggested.
