MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 7, 1981
0 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.Y. Also
present were Committee Members Weed, Dumke, Radtke, Police Chief Scholz,
Ald. Knudsen and Charles Damaske.

The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses:
Herbert DuVall, Jr. Carol DuVall Tom Behrs
Adrian Schmidt
Theresa Sundeen
Craig Adelbusch
Ald. Radtke moved to reconnnend approval of the above listed persons
subject to receipt of favorable police reports. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke. Motion carried.
Chief Scholz discussed the status of the finalizing of the 1980
budget.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
The committee reviewed a request from Schreiber 6 Associates for
payment in the amount of $1.163.73 for additional work and testing
on the request until a breakdown of the completed work has been
done on the Bluhm Park Project. Ald. Radtke moved to defer action
received. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
0 The committee discussed once again the Building Inspector's request
to attend a two-day seminar in Madison on incorporating solar heating
regulations and zoning ordinances, building codes, etc Ald. Radtke
advised the committee that Mr. Lee placed high priority on this
seminar and indicated he would not need additional monies since he
would not attend one of the conferences he had budgeted for Ald.
Radtke moved to approve the request. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Motion
carried. The committee noted that the cost of the seminar was $165.00.
The committee discussed steps which could be taken to teduce heating
costs in the city hall-library. Mayor Gottfried was directed to
discuss the matter with Building Inspector Lee and get estimates of
the costs involved.
The committee reviewed a communication from the President of the
Schultz Rod and Gun Club indicating that the amount of personal
property reported by the former president was in error. He indicated
that in previous years the value of the equipment which was more
president had indicated a value of $16,000. Ald. Dumke moved to
than ten years told amounted to less than $3,000 and that the former
defer action on the request until the next meeting of the committee.

The committee reviewed a communication from the Department of
Richland Center and January 15th in Fond du Lac. The purpose of
Development regarding one day seminars being held January 13th in
the seminar is to give officials information concerning the pre-
Block Grant funds. The cost is $6.00 and the time is from 8:30 AM
to mid-afternoon. Mayor Gottfried indicated that he has attended
several of these and found them to be very informative. If any alderman
wishes to attend he should advise the city clerk immediately.

if Ald. Weed moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee
that the Municipal Code be amended to increase the Dog Kennel License
fee from $20.00 to $25.00. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.
. Ald. Radtke moved to recommend approval of general vouchers in the
amount of $70,416.03. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Motion carried.
Ald. Knudsen requested to have a representa.tive of the Telephone
whether or not the telephone equipment is being used to its greatest
Company meet with someone from the city in an effort to determine
capacity as far as saving monies for the city.
Ald.'.JIadtke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Dude. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned.
