FCM198004020 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 2, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Dumke and Tomczyk, Ald. Weed
and Chief Scholz.
The. following persons appeared to apply for Operator's License: a Emil Geibel Sharron Rickert Andrew Schkeryantz
Ald. D&e moved to recomend Council approval of Operator's License
for the above listed people. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Chief Scholz appeared at the meeting to request permission for Sgt.
John Johnson to attend a Police Firearms Instruction Training Program
at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy at a cost of $20.00. Ald.
Tomczyk moved to recommend approval. Seconded by Ald Dumke. Motion
carried.
Ald Tomczyk moved to recomend to the Common Council approval of a
one-year maintenance agreement for a Burroughs Check Protector in
the amount of $150.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The committee acknowledged receipt of a communication from Attorney
Don Molter to a resident of the city regarding a fence which she
damaged while driving an automobile.
The committee reviewed the^ minut~es~ of the .previous~--meet~ing and .placed
same on file.
The committee reviewed a request from the Parks & Recreation Dept.
for permission to purchase a used sweeper at a cost of $1,295.00.
The needed funds would come from the sale of the Sand-Pro to the
City of New Berlin. Ald. Dmke moved to approve the purchase of
the sweeper. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
The committee reviewed several requests for funds needed to pay for
a freeze in capital spending. Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend to
capital improvements which were purchased prior to notification of
Capital Budget Surplus for the following items:

Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. -
Authorizing Purchase of Used Soil Shredder For Public Works & Parks &
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that Resolution $146-80. entitled,
Recreation Departments" did not provide the necessary funds. Ald.
Tomczyk moved to recommend to the Comon Council that $12,500.00 be
transferred from Unappropriated Capital Budget funds to the^ Public
shredder. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
There being no further business Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn.
