MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 16, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:OO P.M. Also
present were Counnittee Members Tomczyk, Ford and Dumke.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend Council approval of payment of-vouchers
in the amount of $130,170.69. Seconded by Ald. hke. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend Council approval of an agreement between
David Schreiber & Associates and the City for development of Phase I and
Phase I1 of Bluhm Park. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to authorize the Parks Director to purchase the
necessary materials and router needed for-:park signs..~. Funds to be taken

Ald. Tomczyk moved to direct Mayor Gottfried to get quotes for the razing
of the old police building. ~ Seconded by Ald~. Ford. Motion carried.
The committee acknowledged receipt of a communication from Assessor Paul
DeAngelis regarding the appointment of Frank Narlock on a parttime basis.
Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of a coniract
for rescue service between the City and .the Tess Corners Fire. Dept.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of a "Gathering" License
for the Icetronaut's Snowmobile Club for 2/3/80 in the area of Woods Rd.
and Racine Ave Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve the request for a change of date for the
Muskego Corvette Club's Permit to hold a gymkhana on 2/17/80 instead of
the original approved dated in January (due to thin ice and warm weather).
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of a contract between the City
and Ken-Com Engineering, Inc. for the year 1980 in the amount of $294 24.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
The committee discussed the request of Chief Scholz to have two men and
himself attend the FBI Academy in Chicago July 24-27, 1980. The committee
advised Chief Scholz they could not approve the request since there were
no funds available in the Contingency Fund for this purpose.
The committee interviewed the following applicants for Operators Licenses:
Renee Musack, Belinda Smalley and Dolores Lasky. Ald Ford moved to
recommend approval of the above listed persons. Seconded by Ald. Dumke.

which is now vacant. The committee noted that when first established in
Chief Scholz discussed with the comittee the status of the police cadet
1974 it was the intent to make it a temporary position. It was further
noted that the purpose of establishing the position was to provide
training an individual interested in becoming a police officer. In order
that the status of the cadet position can be clearly defined Ald. Ford
moved to recommend that the Common Council reaffirm the city's position '
regarding the position of cadet at the police department. Seconded by
Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
The committee authorized the Police Department to begin advertising for
one Water Patrol 0fficer.for Little Muskego Lake.

There being no further business Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded
