MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 19, 1979
Also present were Committee Members Dumke and Tomczyk.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M.
The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's License:

Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the above listed persons.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried reviewed for the persons present the past history
of the property now owned by the city (former Lassa Lot). He
explained the city had no intention of selling the lower portion
of .the lot, however, when an -offer to purchase the upper -half-was
received the committee felt that it should be given consideration.
He further stated the Plan Commission will discuss the issue on
January 15, 1980. He suggested the people interested in keeping
the property open to the public pursue. this issue further and-prob-
ably approach the Park Board tosee if they would be interested in
making the property into a park.

Ald. Dumke moved to make the following inter-departmental transfer

, Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend Council approval of a Preventive
Maintenance Agreement Between Slater Equipment Co. and the City
for the graphotype and addressograph equipment in the amount of
$290.40. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of payment of vouchers
in the amount of $127,881.52. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion
carried.
Mayor Gottfried will check with Police Chief Scholz regarding
purchase of 1979 (new) automobiles.
Ald. Tomczyk recommend Mayor Gottfried check into insurance rates
for M.A.A. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
