FCM19790718FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO INUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 18, 1979 I Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Ford .and Tomczyk. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at J:30 P.M. The following.persons appeared to apply for an Operator's License - aEd ward C. Rausch - Bruce J. Hranicka - The Office Club 24 Susan L. Zink - The Pizza Hut Neil J. Harris - Muskego Lake Countr Club ~ld. ~~~d moved to recommend approval for the above mentioned ap- plicant~ for Operator's Licenses. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Aid. ~~~d moved to recommend approval of a Gathering License for the Little Muskego Lake Association for August 4, 1979 in the area of ~~~~~~ille Rd. and.Lannon Drive across from Parkland Mall. -Seconded by Aid. Tomczyk. Motion carried. Police Chief Scholz discussed with the Finance Committee the possibility department landscaping. The chief felt the Park and Recreation Department of having a professional landscaper draw up some plans for the police could not harrlle the project. Ald. Ford suggested the Bruce Company for Chief Scholz advised the committee he would check into the matter and get estimate, costs, etc. David Schrieber was also mentioned as a possibility. back to the committee. ehe comittee reviewed an insurance claim from Mr. Oscar Mlchels for damage to motor while on water patrol. The committee will invite Mr. Michels to the next Finance Committee meeting to discuss this matter more fully. The Finance Committee authorized the City Clerk to transfer $20,000.00 the General Fund. With that transfer the district will owe the city from the Little Muskego Protection and Rehabilitation District Fund to $9,518.56. The committee acknowledge receipt of $54,637.98 from the State Dept. of Transportatlon for road aids. The Chairman advised the committee of a request from Mr. McAdam of to permit Plck and Save to have a Class "A Fermented Malt Beverage Pick and Save Food Store requesting a chan e in the city's ordinance and Intoxicatlng Liquor License (Beer Depot). The committee unanimously voted not to support this request. The committee discussed the Lassa property which was purchased by the city by condemnation for a road which would connect Lochcrest Dr. with Shore Lane. Pld. Tomczyk advlsed the committee the city has received several offers from abutting property owners near the lake. The committee agreed to discuss the matter further at a future meeting. 6 a4ayor Gottfrled advised the committee and Mr. and Mrs. Lufkin Janesvllle Road would like to purchase the city owned property in front of thelr residence. The committee authorized the Mayor to negotiate with the parties involved. The committee reviewed a request from Chief Scholz to have Officer Budish zttend a re-training conference on Juvenlle Justice to be held n Green Bay from October 3rd to 5th, 1979. The registration fee is " v$llO.OO and It is estimated that other costs would amount to $175.00. - The cornnittee noted that it has been the practice to approve attendance at this conference by one of the police officers. Ald. Tomczyk mo&d to approve the request. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald.'.Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carrled.
