FCM197906200 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 20, 1979 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7 30 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk and Dumke. The committee acknowledged a request from Robert Kreuser for damages to boat. The committee will submit the claim to the city's insurance carrier after a bill is submitted by Mr. Kreuser. Mr. Richard Uihlein applied for an Operator's License for the Hillendale Inn. Ald Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of same by the Common Council Seconded by Ald. Dumke Motion carried. Mr. Jeffrey Monafo, Janesville Rd., Muskego, appeared to apply for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License to operate the Heads Up Tavern. No action was taken. Mr. John McAdams and Mr. Terrance McAdams appeared to apply for a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License in conjunction with the Pick and Save Store Their request was deferred until the next meeting since it would take an ordinance change in order that an additional license could be available. to request permission to reallocate monies in the Parks & Recreation Mr Fred Baewer, Parks & Recreation Director, appeared at the meeting 1979 Capital Budget due to lack of LAWCON funding. He presented the attached list. Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend approval by the also advised the committee that the Parks ti Recreation Board had Common Council Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Mr Baewer requested that the $35,000.03 contributed by Mr. Stanley Potrykus, developer of Lake Meadows, for tennis courts, etc. should be released to the city immediately. Mayor Gottfried will review the matter and report back to the committee. Police Chief Scholz appeared at the meeting to discuss with the committee the recommendation of the Safety Committee to the Finance one new police officer Ald Dumke moved to recommend to the Conunon Committee to approve a fourth position of sergeant and the hiring of Council that they establish the fourth position of sergeant within the police department. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried It was the committee's decision not to recommend the hiring of an additional police officer at this time The committee reviewed general vouchers and recommended approval of same in the amount of $113,282.27 plus $720 94 expenses incurred for the spraying of weeds of city-owned lots in Little Muskego Lake as per Resolution 8118-79 adopted at the Council meeting of 6/12/79. The total amount of vouchers then being $114,003 21 Ald Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" Permit Seconded by Ald Dumke Motion carried. for St. Leonards Holy name Society for July 28th and 29th, 1979. Ald Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of Transient Merchant's License (Popcorn Wagon) for Gerald Schwartz Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. The committee reviewed renewal dump refuse hauling applications Service, Inc, Town and Country and Farwest Disposal. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council of approval of the above. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of a Salvage and Recycling Permit from James Kohne. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Seconded by Ald Dumke. Motion carried. Ald Tomczyk moved to recommend to the Public Works Committee and the Council that an additional position of Public Works employee be created in order that Harry Krase's position can be filled. Seconded by Ald Dumke Motion carried. The committee discussed with Mayor Gottfried his recommendation that a fee of $5 00 be charged for all written real estate inquiries considerable amount of time to process the infomation. Ald It was indicated that the inquiries are increasing and it takes Tomczyk moved to recommend to the Common Council that a fee of $5 00 be established for all written requests for real estate information.
