FCM19790508FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 8, 1979 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:OO P. M. Also present were committee members Tomczyk, Ford and Dumke. Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of the following person for Operators License: Randy Filter. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried. Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend approval of a Gathering Permit for St. Leonard's Usher Society for May 18, 1979. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried. Ald. The committee reviewed a communication from the Park and Recreation Board regarding the following: Expansion of their offices by using the storage space in the lower level. Ald. Ford moved for approval. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. A request from the Park Board to approve the bids of the Jeep in the amount of $8,161.00. Ald. Ford moved for approval of the request. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. A communication was reviewed from the Park Board indicating the sale of the used Jeep in the amount of $650.00. Ald. Ford moved to approve the sale. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. A request from the Park & Recreation Director for permissinn period of eight (8) months. Ald. Ford moved to authorize the to apply for two CETA positions for special projects for a Park & Recreation Director to apply for the positions. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The committee reviewed a communication from Supt. Bertram regarding the release of a ditch bond for Mrs. Steve Vins, Kristin Downs Subdivision, Ald. Ford moved to authorize the release of a $200 ditch bond to Mrs. Steve Vins. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The Committee reviewed a communication from Building Inspector Lee advising them that Ms. Cynthia Heyden has been chosen to fill a parttime position in his office. He indicated that requested that she be hired at the top of the salary range because she would be working Monday and Thursday, a total of 16 hours, and authorize Building Inspector Lee to hire Mrs. Cynthia Heyden she has previous experience with the city. Ald. Ford moved to in the position of Receptionist-Typist I1 at the second step of the salary range. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. e In regard to emergency equipment, Ald. Ford moved to transfer funds in the amount of $800.00 from Account 8583003212, Contingency to Account 8572.3213 Park & Recreation Supplies and Expenses. (Helmets for Muskego Charges Football team). Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $217,216.51. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. Napieralski advising her that the total interest earned through the real estate tax account for 127 days amounted to $40,536.18. The average interest rate earned was 9.99%.
