MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 2, 1979
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M.
Also present were Ccnunittee Members Dumke, Ford and Tomczyk.
The following persons appeared to apply for an Operators License

Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of Operators Licenses for the
above listed persons. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Wholesale Fermented Malt Beverage License as per the attached list.
The committee acknowledgaireceipt of Class "B", Class "A" and
Mayor Gottfried welcomed those citizens present to the Finance Conunittee
meeting indicating that because of the large number of people it would
be in the best interest of all to maintain the meeting in an orderly
fashion.
Mr. James Ramsey, W191 S7660 Racine Ave., presented a petition con-
taining 125 signatures, claiming excessive noise (stereo) cursing,
loitering in parking lot, failure to observe safety regulations, etc
placed on file
Mayor Gottfried explained to those present the procedures required
by the city in obtaining a liquor license.
Mr..RenderSpencer, W189 S7667 Circle Drive, advised the committee
that he lives adjacent to the Heads Up Tavern and is extremely
concerned over the way the tavern has been operating. He vividly
described what had happened in his yard and urged the committee to
revoke the license. Mr. Spencer requested that Lt. Zabel advise the
Gottfried advised those present that Lt. Zabel's testimony would be committee of the conditions existing at the Heads Up Tavern. Mayor

if there should be a public hearing regarding the petition it would be
inappropriate to hear from the police department at this time regard-
ing the matter.
Mr. Schneider, Attorney for Steve Oschmann, stated Mr. Oschmann is
willing to cooperate with the neighbors. Mayor Gottfried asked Mr.
