MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 13, 1979
Also present were Committee Members Schaumberg, Dumke and Ford.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M.
The committee discussed the appearance of Mr. Consiglio Cirillo
regarding his application for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage
and Intoxicating Liquor License to operate the Huddle Lodge. Ald.
Ford moved to recommend approval of same, subject to favorable
police report. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.

Oschmann indicated his intent to begin his operation March 1st. Ald.

Mr. Tom Hagerty's appearance regarding his application for an
Operator's License was discussed, Ald. Dumke moved to defer action on
the application. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a Gathering Permit for
St. Leonard's Home and School for March 11, 1979. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Gathering Permit for Icetronauts
Snowmobile Club for 2/3/79. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of transfer of agent for
Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Pizza Huts of Suburban Milwaukee (David J. LaRoach). Seconded by
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that Librarian Kathy Horton had
discussed with him and Ald. Ford authorization to hire a fulltime
page under the CETA Program at $2.90 per hour. Mayor Gottfried
for the application was given one of the present parttime positions
indicated that if the fulltime position were created and authorization
of Library Page would be abolished. He further indicated that
funding by CETA would be for a maximum of 18 months. Ald. Ford
moved to recommend to the Common Council the creation of a fulltime
position of Library Page at $2.90 per hour and further that one of

Mayor Gottfried advised the cormnittee that Park and Recreation
Director Fred Baewer appeared to present recommendations of salary
for the position of Recreation Supervisor and the maintenance personnel.
The committee agreed to review the matter at another meeting. Ald.
Mr. Walter Spann for $800.00 to provide helmets for the Muskego
Ford advised the committee that Mr. Baewer also presented a request from
Chargers Football Team, Said appropriation to be considered an
emergency, one-time request.
A request for a full-time secretary for the Park and Recreation
Department was also discussed and action deferred. Mr.
Mr. Baewer's request to have part of his moving expenses paid by the
city was referred to the Park and Recreation Board.
The committee reviewed the maintenance agreement for office
equipment in city hall (Friden Adding Machine). Ald. Ford moved to
recommend approval. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.

A communication from Chief Scholz requesting the Finance Committee
to authorize Juvenile Officer James Budish to attend an Institute
on Delinquency of Minors which will be held in Madison from
3/19/79 to 3130179. Ald. Schaumberg moved to grant the request.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The committee discussed the advantages of having custodial needs
of the city hall-library performed by an outside cleaning service
movement of Matt Bennett (present custodian) to the Park and
vs. a fulltime city employee. Ald. Ford moved to authorize the
Recreation Department and to recommend to the Common Council
approval of an agreement between J & J Cleaning Service and the
city for custodial work in the amount of $450.00 per month.
Seconded by Ald. Schamberg. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that Mr. Ralph Martin and Mr.
Art Albers have both agreed to the appraised value of the land
being taken in the reconstruction of Martin Drive. ($5600.00 for
Ralph Martin and $950.00 for Art Albers. Ald. Ford moved to
recommend to the Common Council approval of the payment. Seconded
by Ald. Schamberg. Motion carried.
A communication from Chief Scholz regarding payment of $30.00 to
Sgt. Johnson for damages to his glasses while on dutv was reviewed.

Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of payment of vouchers
in the amount of $310,179.62. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion
carried.
Kraklow for storage of city equipment. Mayor Gottfried advised
The committee discussed the status of the lease with Mr. William

renew the lease for $135,00 which is $10.00 per month increase

site for about $7,000.00. Ald. Schaumberg moved to not renew
the lease between the Kraklows and the City. Seconded by Ald.
Ford. Motion carried.
Diane Simpson appeard to request an operators license. Ald.
Dumke moved to approve, Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion
carried.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn at 7:45P.M. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg.
