MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 3, 1979
The meetinE was called to order bv Chairman Gottfried at 8:OO P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Ford, bumke and Schaumberg and Police
Chief Scholz. e -
Mr. Donald Schroeder and his Attorney John Schober appeared at the
meeting to discuss Mr. Schroeder's Offer to Purchase a parcel of
city-owned land on S.T..H. 24, west of Mercury Drive. Discussion
took place regarding Mr. Schroeder.'s offer and whether or not it was
necessary to offer the Farce1 of land for sale on bids. The committee
will make its decision at its next meeting in order that members of
the committee may have an opportunity to discuss the matter with
theFr fellow aldermen.
Chief Scholz appeared at the meet.ing to-request a transfer of funds
in his department to cover additional and unexpected expenses for
the budget year 1978. The request was to transfer $2,500.00 as

The committee reviewed a communication from City Attorney Buckley
in which he states that under Sec. 66.054 of the Wisconsin Statutes
any holder of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating
Liquor License who has been convicted of a violation of inter-state
or local laws automatically forfeitures his license. Ald Ford moved

Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution
accepting the low bid of E. J. Salentine in the amount of $28,049.00

e The cormnittee reviewed the city's lease with the Muskego Fine Arts, Inc
for the use of the old city hall building. Action was deferred until
the next meeting to give the members of the committee an opportunity
to review the lease and for a representative of that organization to
appear in person to discuss the matter
The committee reviewed a communication from Assessor Paul DeAngelis
directed to Rev. J. E. Williams, dated 12/21/78, indicating the
total assessment €or the Tudor Oaks Retirement Center is $4,363,400.00
resulting in real estate taxes due the city for 1978 in the amount
$21,250.00. Communication placed on file
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M
