FCM19780920FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 20, 1978 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Committee Members Schaumberg and Dumke and Ald. e Tornczyk. The committee reviewed a communication from Badgerland TNT 4x4 Club requesting permission to hold an ice ralley on Big hluskego Lake in the vicinity of Meinen's Black Duck Inn on 1/28/78 and on 2/18/79. Thev also reauested that the $200.00 fee be waived. Ald. Dumke moved to recdmmend to the Common Council to grant the permit and to waive the $200.00 fee. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's License; Judy Kwiatkowski, Phil Snyder, John Weicinski, Vicki Bomski and Tim Brauer. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of the above listed persons to be grant an Operator's License. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The committee acknowledged receipt of a communication from Patty JO Rutzen indicating she would not be taking a leave of absence without pay on October 12, 13 and 16, 1978, as was originally requested. Ald. Schaumbe1.g moved to recommend approval for a "Gathering" Permit for the hluskego Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary for October 28, 1978. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. The committee considered the request of Mr. John Nace, 568 W13522 Bristlecone Lane, for the return of $200.00 ditch bond. The committee noted that the request involved monies which were returned to the general fund as a result of a decision not to refund any monies which had not been requested for through the end of 1976. Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that Supt. Bertram felt that he had done sufficient work along the ditch in question to warrant the city keeping the $200.00. Ald. Dumke moved to deny the request to refund the $200.00 to Mr. Nace Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The committee reviewed communications from City Attorney Buckley regarding claims from John Kelly and Janice Heckert. Dumke moved to authorize Officer Billy Meeks to attend a 3-day juvenile seminar to be held at the Valley Inn in Neenah, Wisconsin on October 4, 5 and 6, 1978. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. Lt. Scholz requested that two officers of the Police Department be Ald. Schaumberg moved to grant the request. Seconded by Ald.
