MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 8, 1978
The meeting was called to order at 7:OO P.M. by Chairman Gottfried.
Also present were Aldermen Ford, Schaumberg and Dumke.
The committee acknowledged receipt of a communication regarding the
request for release of ditch bonds from Wimmer-Blatter Developers
in the amount of $400.00. The committee noted that the request
involved construction of homes several years ago and that all bonds
up to 1976 which had not been requested have been written off. Ald.
Dmke moved to deny payment as per the request of Wimmer-Blatter
Developers. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Correspondence received from Building Inspector Lee requesting a
transfer of funds from Account 8535.017, House Numbers, to Account
#525.018, Supplies, in the amount of $26.10. Ald. Ford moved to
grant the request, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The committee acknowledged receipt of correspondence from the Office
of the Commissioner of Insurance, Madison, WI, indicating our 1978
fire dues payment from that department will be $11,146.60. Same
placed on file.

Ald. Ford moved to-.approve the above requested transfers for the Park
and Recreation Department. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Discussion-. took place regarding Mr. Beringer’s request for an additional
$100.00 for property purchased from him by the city in the area of Lochcrest
Blvd. It was the unanimous decision of the committee not to pay the
additional $lOO.OO to Mr. Beringer.
The committee acknowledged receipt of a notice from the State Department
of Transportation that the city will receive $53,111.17 in highway aids.

Ald. Ford moved to recommend payment of general vouchers in the amount
of $49,250.77. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.

The committee reviewed the claim from Janice Heckert, dated July 21,
1978, in the amount of $189.61 for dameges sustained as a result of
foul balls during games conducted at Horn Field. Ald. Ford moved to
recommend denial of the claim, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Application for employment was received and placed on file.
A1d:Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of "Gathering" Permit
for Lembezeder-Cook VFW Post 118171 for August 25, 26 and 27, 1978
for Country Fair Days celebration at the comer of Highway 24 and
Lannon Drive. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" Permit for
August 27, 1978 for A MD benefit softball game at the Mill Valley
Complex. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" Permit for
Little Muskego Lake Association for August 19 and 20, 1978, for Mill
Valley Complex for softball games. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" License
for Little Muskego Lake Association for August 18, 19 and 20th for
Idle Isle Park and for August 19th at Jensen Park. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
The committee considered the recommendation of the Public Works Committee
regarding the installation of gas mains on Apollo Drive, the estimated
cost to be $8,359.00. The committee noted the property owners involved
Ald. Schaurnberg moved to execute the agreement. Seconded by Ald.
in the project will reimburse the city for the cost of installation.
Ford, motion carried.
There being no further business Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded
by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
