FCM19780711FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 11, 1978 The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Ford, Dumke, Schaumberg and Tomczyk. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses Marlene Erickson Mike Rand Barbara Puff Carrie Gaura Diane Lucht Ald. Schaumberp, moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of Operator's Licenses for the above persons, subject to receipt of favorable fingerprint reports. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried. The following requests for permits and licenses were considered: Jack Glockner, Junk License; Far West Disposal, Waste Management and Thomas Disposal for Dump, Refuse and Hauli.ng permits. Ald. Schaurnbergmoved to recommend to the Common Council approval of the req,uests. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carrj.ed. A request from Gerald Schwarz for a permit to operate a popcorn wagon in the City of Muskego was received. Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the request. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a gathering permit Ald. Ford, motion carried. for St. Leonard's picnic for July 29 and 30, 1978. Seconded by Mr. Pischke, Parks and Recreation Director, appeared regarding the purchase of a 1978, 3/4 ton, 4-wheel drive, pick-up truck. He explained that he was only able to obtain one person to bid on the truck, and that was for a 1979, which would cost a great deal more than the amount budgeted. He explained that the Parks and Recreation Hoard rejected the bid and authorized him to negotiate the specifications required. Mr. Pischke indicated that he did for a truck if he could find a 1978 model which would be closc to find a truck at Page Chevrolet. However, the total cost would be monies would be necessary for his capital budget. Ald. Ford moved $1,399 more than the amount budgeted, 2nd therefore, additional to recommend approval of the purchase of the truck in the amount of $7,999.00. Secnnded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Mr. Pischke also requested that an additional $448.00 be transferred to his capital budget in order that the Horn and Kurth Parks pro- of the transfer. Ald.
