FCM19780621FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 21, 1978 The meeting was called to order at 8:35 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Ford, Schaumberg & Dumke. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses: Beverly Werry Earl Meinen Linda LeMaster ElaineMeinen Albert Meinen, Jr. Dean Meinen Sandra Meinen Ald. Ford moved to approve Operator's Licenses for the above listed persons, subject to received of favorable fingerprint reports. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Mr. and Mrs. William Kassulke appeared to discuss with the committee their plans for the VFW parade to be held on August 27, 1978. After reviewing the units to be in the parade and the estimated cost of $1500.00, Ald. Ford moved to recommend to the Common Council that the City of Muskego provide the VFW with $1,072.00 to help offset expenses Fund to Account #501.0160, Special Events. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, for the parade and that the money be transferred from the Contingency motion carried. Following review of the vouchers, Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of payment of general vouchers in the amount of $173,726.07. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Ford also moved to recommend approval of payment of sewer utility vouchers in the amount of $2,957.01. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Police Chief Kraus appeared before the committee to suggest that the Municipal Code be amended to eliminate that section dealing with the fingerprinting of applicants of all Class "B" and Class "A" Licenses and also for Operator's Licenses. He indicated that the information needed for approval of the licenses can be determined by providing the printing would only be needed in the event there is any question on State with the name and address of the applicant and that finger- & Ordinance Committee the suggested change. Seconded by Ald. Ford, that report. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws motion carried. Chief Kraus requested that the Finance Committee authorize the expend- iture of $1,587.00 for an additional closed camera to be used in the Police Department garage. Following discussion it was the committee's decision to defer action on the request until a full review of the capital budget can be made. position Of parttime custodian at the police department. Ford moved to recommend approval of Dump Refuse Hauling Permits for the following: Robert Moeller Disposal, Inc. - 6 vehicles Re1 Sanitation, Inc. 3 vehicles Sanitary Disposal Service,Inc - 5 vehicles Town & Country Disp. Service - 5 vehicles Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of Salvage Permit for James Kohne. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of Special Class "B" Gathering License for Little Muskego Lake Association for Little Muskego Festival for July 8, 1978.
