MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 19, 1978

The meeting was called to order at 7 45 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried

Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval for Operator's Licenses
for the above listed people, subject to receipt of favorable Finger-
print Reports. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Mrs. Bowyer discussed with the committee the concern of the Public
Works Department regrading the retroactive pay for 1975. She
indicated she will provide the committee with a comprehensive report
to show how she arrived at the retroactive pay which was given to
the employees.
Members of the committee and Mrs. Bowyer discussed at length the
duties of the several employees working in her office. The committee
office other than she is able to have sufficient knowledge of such
things as the preparation of the payroll, vouchers and other book-
keeping procedures in order that her office could still function
in the event she was absent from the office.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that he had asked Equitable
order that it could be determined whether or not a comparable program
Insurance Company to review the city's health insurance program in
could be provided at less money. He further advised the committee
that a representative of the company indicated that he could not
match the rate the city is presently paying to Blue Cross-Blue Shield.
Vouchers'inthe amount of $430,149.26were reviewed. Ald. Ford moved
to recommend approval of payment. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg.
Motion carried.
Sewer utility vouchers in the amount of $6,587.50 were reviewed. Ald.
Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ford moved to recommend Council approval of payment. Seconded by
Ald Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald Ford, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned.
