FCM19780104a FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINLlTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 4, 1978 Also present was Committee Member Dumke. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Ford at 7.30 P.M. The minutes of the previous meeting was read, approved and placed on file. Mr. Walter Bohrer, Jr. appeared to apply for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for the former Lake- view Gardens which he presently leases from Mr. Elmer Tinti. He explained that the former license holder, Robert Montgomery, was evicted through court action as a result of his failure to mee-t his obligations. Mr. .mhrer further~ stated that Mr. Montgomery is not available nor would he be~likely-to execute-a document releasing the license which he~presently holds. The committee agreed to defer action until such time that it can be determined whether or not the present license. holder can be contacted regarding the matter. The committee reviewed the proposed contract between the City of Muskego and the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department for rescue of the contract. Seconded by.Ald. Dumke, motion carried. A communication from.-City Clerk Bette Bowyer suggesting -the- committee what some of the surrounding communities are allowing. The matter review the mileage allowance presently paid and further indicated was deferred until the next. meeting of the committee. The committee reviewed a communication from Librarian Kathy Horton requesting that all employees within her dep,artment be paid the minimum wage established by the federal government. The communication indicated that all CETA employees must be paid the minimum wage. Action on the matter was deferred until the next meeting. service. Ald.
