MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 21, 1977 0 The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Ford 2.L: 7.30 P.M. ~l~~ present were Aldermen Schaumberg and Dumke, Police Chief Kraus
and Steve Pischke. Mayor Gottfried arrived at 8.00 P.M.
The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses:
Peggy Ann Kearney, Sandra Hoffman and Paula Decolo. A1.d. Dumke moved
to recommend approval of Operator's License for the above listed Persons.
subject to the receipt of favorable Finger Print Reports. Seconded by
Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Mr. Elmer Tinti and Mr. Robert Montgomery appeared at the meeting to
discuss the status of Mr. Montgomery's approved application for a
Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License
for Lakeview Gardens. They presented a copy of a letter from previous
owner Judy McEvoy indicating her intent to vacate the premises on
September 15, 1977. The committee noted that in conformance with
existing city policy new applicants are not approved until the city
receives a written release of the existing license. The committee

directed Mayor Gottfried to contact City Attorney Buckley to determine
Mr. Steve Pischke, Park and Recreation Director, appeared to present
to the committee a revised cost schedule for the several LAWCON funded
projects approved by the Common Council. He indicated that the addition-
al costs were due to unexpected costs such as underground wiring,
additional materials, etc. He further indicated that a revised
costs can be funded and that in spite of the additional costs the Park
and Recreation Department would stay within the capital budget approved
for 1977. Ald. Ford moved to approve the revised costs for the Mill
Valley Complex, Jensen, Horn and Schmidt Park projects. Seconded by
Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Chief Kraus presented a request for a transfer of $150.00 from Account
#520.0190 (Emergency Police) to Account #520.0130 (Auto Allowance)
and $448.00 from Contingency Fund (#602.049) to Account G520.0170
(Salary-Janitorial). He further requested that three officers be

Mayor Gottfried advised the committee of the possibility to enroll in
a group life insurance program through the State of Wisconsin He

Mr. D. Winthrop Hass, Attorney at Law, representing Pizza Hut of
Suburban Milwaukee, Inc. appeared at the meeting once again to
discuss his request for a Class B Fermented Malt Beverage License.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of
.e Milwaukee, Inc. Ald. Dumke seconded the motion for discussion
a Class B Fermented Malt Beverage License for Pizza Hut of Suburban
purposes only. Ald. Schaumberg indicated his intent to abstain
from voting on the matter. Following considerable discussion it
was agreed by the committee to send the matter to the Common
Council without recommendation.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering"Permit for
the Ladies Auxiliary of the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company for
November 5, 1977 at W195 S10030 Racine Ave. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend approval of "Gathering" Permit for
St. Leonard's Holy Name Society for the following dates
October 2, 1977 December 4, 1977
October 16, 1977
November 6, 1977
December 18, 1977
January 15, 1978
November 20, 1977 0 for W173 S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego. Motion was seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg and carried.
Aid. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
