The meeting was called to order on Thursday, April 7, 1977, at
7;30 P M. Also present were hlayor Gottfried and Ald. Schaumberg.
hjiss Paula Grzesiak appeared to apply for an Operators License.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Go11 appeared to apply for Operators License and
Mr. Go11 also appeared to apply for a Class "13" Fermented Malt
Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Wl91 S7690 Racine Ave.
(Altmeyer's Tavern).
The committee acknowledged a bill. from the IliI.waukee Area Municipal
Employers Association in the amount of $225.00 to cover the costs
of a 1977 survey of wages and fringe benefits.
A letter from Robert B. Fennig was received regarding encroachment
by the city on Lots 3 and 4, Block 15, Jewel Crest Subdivision,
indicating a rejection of the offer of $1500.00 and also a demand
for the removal of the encroachment. hlayor Gottfried i.ndicated
that City Attorney Bucltley is preparing the necessary resolutions
to begin condemnation action.
Murphy of Menomonee Falls has been appointed cadet was received and

The request of Citizens for Better Environment to canvass the City
of Muskego for donations was reviewed once again along with
correspondence from the police department and neighboring communities.
A communication was received from Chief Kraus requesting that the

committee recommend to the Common Council the hiring of Mr. David
the salary range. The committee noted that Mr. Worhanek has
approximately eight years of experience with the West Milwaukee
Police Department, that it would be a saving in the cost of training
and that the city would gain an experienced police officer to fill
a vacancy immediately. It was agreed that recornmendation from the
full committee would be submitted.
Correspondence from Building Inspector Lee was received requesting
payment to the Electric Company in the amount of $SOO.OO for the
installation of underground wiring to serve the new police building.
It was noted that temporary service could be provided until the
Electric Company and that the Clerk should be authorized to make
service charge was paid. It was agreed that the money was owed the

Mr. Steven Pischke appeared to discussed with the cumnittee the
proposed four and forty concept which provides for a four (4) 10-hour
per day work week for most of the parttime park maintenance personnel.
Mr. Pischke indicated that there appeared to be many advantages to
this program and he would like the opportunity to initiate it on a
trial basis. Ald. Schaumberg indicated that the request ought to be
granted subject to approval of the balance of the committee members.
The committee received and placed on file a-report from
Treasurer indicating total cash assets of the city as of
1977.
A communication was received and placed on file from the
unteer Fire Company requesting that the generator presen
by the police department and which will be replaced with
either sold or given to them.

The meeting adjourned with the understanding that all actions of this
meeting were approved subject to agreement by the full committee on
April 12, 1977.

All actions of April 7, 1977 meeting were approved.
Meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Schaumberg and Colburn.
Mr. Robert Iverson of Wind Lake and Mr. Kent Amoth of Hales Corners both
appeared for approval of their operator licenses. Alderman Schaumberg
moved for approval. Motion seconded by Alderman Dumke. Motion carried.
Alderman Schaumberg motioned for approval of a Class B Liquor License
for Earl Goll. Motion seconded by Alderman Colburn. Motion carried.
