The committee reviewed the offer to purchase of William Bailey for
5.5 acres of city-owned property on Durham Drive in the amount of
$15,000.00. The cqmmittee noted that previous advertisements in
1975 had brought, in ofgers of $6500.00 and $7500.00, that although
the Mayor had been authorized to negotiate for a better price it
was to no avail and that if the city retains the property a con-
siderable amount of time and money would have to be expended to
fill in the pond which is presently a severe hazard to the surrounding
neighborhood. It was the committee's feeling that the offer was
fair and equitable and Ald. Dumke moved to recommend to the Council
acceptance of the offer. Seconded by Ald. Colburn, motion carried.
The Finance Committee reviewed the 1977 budget requests for the
Library, Muskego Fire Co. and the Tess CQ~~~QS Fire Dept. with
representatives of each department.
