0 MTNLlTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 9, 1976
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M.
Also present were committee members Schaumberg and Dumke, Aldermen Pienkos
Wallner and Constantineau.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morin appeared at the meeting in regard to their
application for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating
Liquor License.
The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses: W
Jeffery Grzesiak W148 S6633 Woodland P1, Muskego
Roberta Tobianski 11428 W. Swiss St., Franklin
Gary Fleming W171 S7260 Lannon Dr., Muskego
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of a Class "B" Retail
license for Charles Morin, subject to receipt of favorable Fingerprint
Report and for Operators License for Jeffery Grzesiak, Roberta Tobianski
and Gary Fleming, Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Mr. Steve Pischke, Park and Recreation Director, appeared to discuss with
the committee his request for. transfer of $11,173.00 from the Contingency
Fund to his salary account. He explained that the present budget was 0 based on 1975 salaries and did not include the new positions which were
created in the department. He also pointed out that the continuation
of any fall recreation programs and the care and maintenance of several
buildings and the equipment used by the department was dependent upon
the transfer. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend the necessary transfers
to the Common Council. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The committee acknowledged receipt of $96,439.83 in highway aids from
the State of Wisconsin.
The committee reviewed the request of the Police Department to transfer
$887.00 from the Contingency Fund to Capital Budget in order that a
refrigerator and range could be purchased immediately for the police
station. Ald. Schaumberg moved to deny the request. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that the Milwaukee Area Municipal
Employers Association is working on an insurance,program to replace the
present Blue Cross Program. He indicated that, if successful, the cost
to the municipality could be substantially lowered.
The committee reviewed the several salary accounts and recommended to
Fund Account Q602.049 :

Ald. Dumlce moved to recommend Council approval of the above transfers. Sec-
onded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
The committee reviewed a communication from Chief Kraus requestion that he
be granted a two year extension of his employment beyond the mandatory re- @ tirement age of 55. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of
the request. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Mayor ~ottfried then reviewed with the aldermen the bookkeeping and budget-
procedures of the city,
