MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 21, 1976
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Foldy and Dumke.
Mr. Tom Schultz and Lee Elger appeared at the meeting to request permission
have a gymkhana on Little Muskego Lake on February 29th. They explained
the headquarters would be at Lakeview Gardens Resort and that the event
is sponsored by the Muskego Corvette Club, the course would be laid out on
Little Muskego Lake and that it involves individual participation and is
judged on skilled driving. They indicated that no charge would be made
for public viewing and they anticipated approximately 150 cars would be
involved.
Mr. Steven Oschmann and Mr. George Henneberry appeared to apply for
Operators Licenses. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of
Operators Licenses for Steven Oschmann and George Henneberry subject to
receipt of favorable fingerprint and medical reports.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of the request
to hold a gymkhana on February 29th on Little Muskego Lake. Seconded by 0 Id. Foldy, motion carried. -
Ald. Ford appeared with Mr. Don Kangas and Mr. Joe Beatka to discuss
proposed salaries for their department.
Ald. Ford discussed with the committee the claim submitted by Water
Patrolman Walter Singsheim and urged that the committee reconsider their
position in the matter. The committee agreed to review the matter at
their next meeting.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the designation of
Employers Insurance of Wausau as the city's insurance carrier. Seconded
by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
The committee received a communication from Chester Spitzner requesting
that he once again be permitted to cut the canary grass on city-owned land
adjacent to Woods Road. Ald. Dumke moved to grant said request, seconded
by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that a resolution would be presented
to the Council which would permit voter registration at the Muskego Public
Library during its regular business hours. e.d. Foldy moved to recommend approval of the settlement of a grievance
with the Muskego Professional Policeman's Association pertaining to payment
of report time. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The committee reviewed a request from the Big Muskego Gun Club for permission
to begin operation one hour earlier than normal on a total of 12 dates

The committee City Attorney Buckley's statement for the month of December
and placed same on file.

d. Dumke moved to recommend to the Common Council adoption of a resolution
establishing 1976 salaries for non-represented employees. Seconded by Ald.
