0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 17, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Foldy, Schaumberg, Dumke and Chief Kraus.
Chief Kraus appeared to request that two officers be given permission to
attend special training classes in an officers evidence school at MITC, the
two officers being Wolfgram and Carlson. The course consists of a total of
44 hours in a semester and the officers would be reimbursed on a straight
time basis for the time attended. Ald. Foldy moved to grant the request,
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The fol .lowing persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses:
Dorothy Coello - S94 W13314 Ryan Rd., Hales Corners
Richard Isetts - 8280 Flagstone Ct., Greeridale
Ellen Gardner - S70 W14464 Belmont Dr., Hales Comers
James Hagenkord - S86 W13988 Priegel Dr., Hales Corners
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend approval of Operators Licenses for the
above listed applicants, subject to recGipt of favorable medical and/or
fingerprint reports. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Gerald P. Lee appeared to discuss his recommendation for a replacement
for Nrs. Marvelyn Pufall who will be resigning on December 23rd. He
advised the committee that he had reviewed all of the applicants .along with
qualified and should be given an opportunity to advance herself. The
committee approved of his choice and will recommend that her salary be
the second step of the range.
Discussion was held regarding a replacement for Mrs. Hayden in the Clerk's
office. The Clerk and Mayof were authorized to interview existing
applications for the position of Receptionist-typist 11.
The committee received a request from the Library to transfer from
accounts 580.011, Salaries ($468.55), Acct. 580.029, Housing ($31.84)
and Acct, 580.046, Office Supplies ($36.43) to Account #580.0451, Books
and Magazines (total amount to be transferred $536.82). Ald. Schaumberg
moved to approve said request. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved, seconded by Ald. Foldy, to recommend to the Common
Council that the city once again join the Wisconsin League of Municipalities
in the amount of $724.50. Motion carried.

Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of a contract between the
Slater Equipment Company and the city for maintenance for a /I6300 graphotype
and /I1900 addressograph in the amount of $224.00 for the year 1976.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The committee reviewed the action by Mr. Joseph Vesbach against the city
in the amount of $750.00. The matter was referred to City Attorney.

The committee discussed Ald. Foldy's suggestion for ways in which the
agenda for the Council, Plan Commission, etc, meetings could be better
publicized. It was their decision to request several businesses to
post the agendas.
The committee discussed the problem the city is having with one of the
water fountains in city hall because of accumulation of rust. A quote
was submitted by Mr. Lee from Paul Kowalkowski Plumbing in the amount of
$110.00 to furnish and install one #AT-100 filter assembly with A3-117
cartridge on water line in the amount of $118.00. It was the committee's
decision to accept the quote from Kowalkowski Plumbing,
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned.
