MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 5, 1975
0 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 7:35 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Foldy and Schaumberg. Ald. Colburn was also
present and Mr. Joe Beatka appeared as a spectator.
The committee is awaiting a report of the County Agricultural Agent relating
to the Joseph Vesbach claim as to the average price and yield of soybeans in
our area. The firm which did the soil boring tests in the area will forward a a written report by the next meeting.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend payment in the amount of $816.04 for the
baseball program for 1975. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
The cmittee discussed arrangements for payment of umpire fees.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of Damaske Electronic's quote
in the amount of $197.55 to extend the present microphones and add a floor
type with cord. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved, seconded by Ald. Dumke, to permit Chet Spitzner to cut
and remove marsh hay from city property on Woods Road at the jog in the
road.
0 Mayor Gottfried to have Inspector Lee obtain quotes for heating and
Work to be done in conjunction with the office being constructed by ParH &RT~ electrical work for Park Superintendent's office in the city hall basement.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of establishing salary range
for Park Superintendent as follows: Start, $951.00, 6 mths. $991.00 and
18 mths. $1,031.00 per month. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval for the purchase of 1,000
copies of Citizens Governmental Research Bulletins. Seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg, motion carried.
The cmittee discussed application for ORAP and LAWCON funds for the
purpose of acquiring open space around Little Muskego Lake. Mayor Gottfried
to provide a resolution to give the area of open space desired.
City Attorney Buckley appeared at the meeting for the purpose of discussing
the Koeferl case and the portions of the city's contract with Aquamarine that
he is concerned with.
A discussion was held regarding the several bank accounts being used by the
city.
Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of Operator's License for Richard VanScoy.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that it would be to the city's
advantage to have the CETA funds which had been approved for a Clerk-
receptionist for the position of bookkeeper. The city would pay the
difference between the allotted funding and actual costs. A resolution
will be submitted to the Council providing for the proper bookkeeping
position. - - - .-
e Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
